The purpose of the conference was to discuss the problems and prospects of creating the Eurasian Union at the interparliamentary level. More than a hundred people took part in it. Among them are Russian and foreign parliamentarians, diplomats, representatives of executive authorities, international organizations, business circles, public organizations, and experts.
The conference consisted of three working sections on problematic aspects of the creation of the Eurasian Union (political, legal, humanitarian, and economic) and three plenary sessions, which featured presentations by ambassadors, deputies, and experts. The event was hosted by Andrey Klimov, Coordinator of the Eurasian Dialogue, member of the The Federation Council.
In accordance with the results of the sections and with the speeches of the participants at the plenary sessions, the Recommendations of the participants of the international conference “Eurasian Union: Ambitions, Problems, Prospects” were formulated
